Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Providing direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
- Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and response to treatment, and reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
- Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a safe and clean patient care environment.
- Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during times of illness or distress.
- Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development activities to enhance nursing knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- Diploma from an accredited training institution.
- Current CHPRN license as a CHO/CHEW.
- Clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be computer literate. Experience with EMR systems will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
