Role Description

This is an on-site role for a Coating Inspector, based in Lagos. The Coating Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and monitoring surface preparation, coating, and painting activities. This role requires preparing inspection reports, verifying materials, and ensuring that all coating applications meet specified requirements. The inspector will collaborate with teams to address non-conformities and assist in maintaining quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in surface preparation, coating inspection, and quality control processes
• Knowledge of standards such as BS EN ISO 1461:1999 & ASTM A 123
• Experience interpreting engineering documents related to coating and fabrication
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prepare accurate technical reports
• Certification or training in coating inspection (e.g., NACE or FROSIO) is highly preferred
• Proficiency in adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance
• Team collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively on-site
• Previous experience in oil and gas or similar industrial environments is an advantage
• Bachelor's degree and technical certification in related fields is preferred
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in coating inspection within EPC or Oil and Gas projects
