Role Overview:
The Civil and Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of civil and structural systems within oil and gas projects. The role involves ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and structural integrity in all design and execution phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and plan civil and structural systems for oil and gas facilities and related infrastructure.
- Conduct detailed site assessments and feasibility investigations to inform design decisions.
- Prepare, interpret, and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Select and specify appropriate materials, construction techniques, and design parameters.
- Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with industry standards, engineering codes, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and project engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Support project execution through technical guidance, quality control, and design optimization.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters degree is an advantage).
- 3-7 years of proven experience in civil and structural design, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
