Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and supervise the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, drainage systems, and water facilities.
• Conduct site inspections, surveys, and feasibility studies to determine project requirements and constraints.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, designs, specifications, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
• Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within approved costs.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and government agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on all project sites.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc./B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  
• Professional certification or registration (e.g., COREN or NSE) is an added advantage.
  
• Proven experience in civil engineering projects (entry-level or experienced roles, depending on position).
  
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles.
  
• Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
  
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  
• Good project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality control procedures.
  
• Willingness to work on-site and adapt to project demands.
