Chartered Accountant
Job summary
The Chartered Accountant will oversee all financial activities of the company, ensuring accurate reporting, inventory accountability, compliance with tax regulations, and efficient financial management within an import/export trading environment.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage inventory accounting and stock reconciliation (very critical for trading operations)
- Oversee import/export financial documentation and cost tracking
- Handle tax compliance (VAT, PAYE, Company Income Tax, etc.)
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting
- Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls
- Provide financial insights to management for business decisions
- Ensure strict confidentiality of the company's financial information
Requirements:
- Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN/ACCA certified)
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience
- B.Sc or HND in Accounting
- Strong accounting background in a trading company preferred
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong inventory management experience
- Computer-literate and tech-savvy
- Detail-oriented with a high accuracy level
- Calm, proactive, and able to work under pressure
- High integrity and confidentiality
Location: Fegge, Onitsha, Anambra State
Remuneration: NGN 200,000 Monthly
