Job Summary

Responsible for operating and controlling the Cement Plant process through the Distributed Control System (DCS) and the Central Control Room (CCR). This includes monitoring the performance of equipment, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring smooth and efficient plant operation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Operate the DCS to control and monitor the operation of the Cement Plant machinery, including Kilns, Raw Mills, Cement Mills, and auxiliary equipment. Ensure the production process is running at optimal conditions to achieve targeted production quantities and quality standards. Troubleshoot operational problems and take corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operation. Coordinate with plant patrollers and production attendants to ensure smooth and safe plant operation. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. Participate in training programs and workshops to acquire and update knowledge on plant processes and technologies. Maintain accurate records of operational data, production quantities, and equipment performance. Assist in implementing process improvements and optimization initiatives to enhance plant performance and efficiency. Support the section head in implementing and maintaining ISO systems and quality standards.


Education and Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CCR/DCS Operator in a Cement Plant.

Skills and Competencies

Good understanding of cement manufacturing processes and equipment. Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting the Distributed Control System (DCS). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Adaptability and willingness to work in rotating shifts.
