We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Cashier to manage customer transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Process customer payments accurately using cash, POS terminals, bank transfers, and other approved payment methods.
  • Issue receipts, invoices, and proof of payment for all transactions.
  • Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift and reconcile daily sales.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and payment-related issues professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily transactions and prepare end-of-day cash reports.
  • Ensure all cash, vouchers, and payment instruments are securely handled and accounted for.
  • Assist customers with product information, pricing, and promotions where required.
  • Monitor and report discrepancies, shortages, or suspicious transactions promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout area.
  • Collaborate with the sales and inventory teams to ensure smooth transaction processing.
  • Comply with company cash-handling procedures, financial controls, and security policies.
  • Support other administrative or retail duties as assigned by management.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cashier, Retail Assistant, Customer Service Representative, or in a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of cash handling and financial transactions.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems, cash registers, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong numerical, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High level of honesty, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
