Job Summary

The Carding Technical Expert keeps the Saurer JSC328 carding line running reliably and to specification through planned preventive maintenance. The role owns the mechanical, pneumatic and basic electrical health of the cards and their chute feeders, the condition and setting of the card clothing, the critical gauges, and the auto-levellers, minimizing unplanned stoppages and supporting the final installation and commissioning still ahead.

Requirements & Qualification

• A maintenance engineering qualification at HND, B.Eng or B.Tech level in mechanical,

electrical or textile engineering.

• Hands-on maintenance experience on high-production cards, ideally Saurer or

comparable Chinese or European equipment, including card clothing and gauge setting.

• Familiarity with auto-levellers, PLC-controlled lines and inverter-driven machines.

• Card clothing knowledge: wire condition, grinding and replacement.

• Mechanical fitting and pneumatics, with sound fault diagnosis, and the ability to read

manuals, parameter sheets and schematics.
