Job summary
We are seeking experienced, energetic, and results-driven Business Development & Field Marketing Officers to drive market expansion and customer acquisition. The role involves promoting company products, generating new business, building customer relationships, and increasing sales through strategic field marketing activities.

Responsibilities:
- Market Development & Customer Acquisition
- Identify and acquire new retail, wholesale, and institutional customers
- Generate qualified business leads and convert them into active customers
- Build relationships with retailers, supermarkets, bars, lounges, restaurants, hotels, and event vendors
- Expand market penetration across assigned territories
- Increase product visibility and customer awareness
- Sales & Business Development
- Promote SAQ Beverages products and pricing advantages
- Drive sales growth across assigned territories
- Support customer onboarding and account activation
- Monitor customer purchasing behaviour and sales trends
- Identify opportunities for repeat business and customer retention
- Support the implementation of sales growth initiatives
- Territory Management
- Execute structured territory coverage plans
- Conduct regular field visits across assigned locations
- Map potential customer clusters and sales opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and market intelligence
- Provide competitor and market feedback to management
- Reporting & Accountability
- Submit daily activity reports
- Submit weekly sales and lead generation reports
- Maintain accurate records of prospects and customers
- Track customer conversions and sales performance
- Participate in performance review meetings
Requirements:
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Economics, or any related discipline
- Minimum of 3–5 years relevant experience in FMCG sales, field marketing, trade marketing, or business development
- Demonstrable experience marketing consumer products directly to customers and businesses
- Strong understanding of traditional field marketing techniques
- Ability to identify, develop, and close business opportunities
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong reporting and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be a resident in Calabar or willing to relocate before resumption
