We are seeking a results-driven and proactive Business Development Officer (Logistics) to drive business growth by identifying new clients, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's logistics and transportation services.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the logistics, transportation, and supply chain sectors
  • Generate leads and convert prospects into long-term clients
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, manufacturers, distributors, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and service agreements to prospective clients
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure profitable business deals
  • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Manage key accounts and maintain regular communication with clients
  • Prepare business development reports, sales forecasts, and performance updates
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities
  • Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree / HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the logistics industry
  • Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, freight, and supply chain operations
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities and close business deals effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM software
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and achieve targets
