Job summary
We are seeking a results-driven and proactive Business Development Officer (Logistics) to drive business growth by identifying new clients, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's logistics and transportation services.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the logistics, transportation, and supply chain sectors
- Generate leads and convert prospects into long-term clients
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, manufacturers, distributors, and other stakeholders
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and service agreements to prospective clients
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure profitable business deals
- Conduct market research and monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Manage key accounts and maintain regular communication with clients
- Prepare business development reports, sales forecasts, and performance updates
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities
- Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree / HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the logistics industry
- Strong understanding of logistics, transportation, freight, and supply chain operations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to identify opportunities and close business deals effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and achieve targets
