Business Development Representative — Data Center Development Financing
Job descriptions & requirements
Position Overview
Global data center capital expenditure is expanding rapidly into emerging markets. Hyperscale operators are committing infrastructure to Lagos, Cape Town, Nairobi, Riyadh, Mumbai, Jakarta, Mexico City, and Bogotá, and regional sponsors are mobilizing to develop the colocation, edge, and power infrastructure that follows. The associated financing requirements — senior debt, mezzanine, project finance, and sponsor equity at transaction sizes of $50M to $250M+ — fall outside the operating range of both local banks (which lack the tenor capacity) and global infrastructure funds (which generally do not transact at this scale).
Cebron Global is expanding its origination capability across digital infrastructure — data centers, co-located and on-site power generation, fiber, and adjacent assets — and is engaging senior commercial professionals with established sponsor relationships in priority markets across Africa, MENA, South and Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking individuals with backgrounds in:
· Senior commercial or sales leadership within a regional data center, telecommunications, or fiber operator
· Project finance or infrastructure banking with emerging-markets coverage
· Origination at a development finance institution, export credit agency, or multilateral lender
· Independent power production, energy infrastructure, or utility-scale power development
· Industrial or real estate development with institutional capital relationships
The defining qualification is direct, current access to founders, chief executives, chief financial officers, and development principals at sponsors actively building or financing digital infrastructure within the candidate's region.
Responsibilities
The role is focused on origination and qualification:
· Identify and qualify financing opportunities of $50M to $250M+ across senior debt, mezzanine, project finance, sponsor equity, and acquisition financing
· Introduce sponsors currently raising capital or expected to do so within the next 12 to 18 months
· Provide regional intelligence on deal flow, competitive activity, and sponsor positioning
· Maintain current visibility on hyperscaler expansion, power availability, and policy developments affecting the market
Transaction structuring, pricing, and commercial terms are managed by Cebron Global's execution team. Pricing across these asset classes is a function of risk profile, sponsor credit, and prevailing market conditions, and is not represented at the origination stage.
Engagement Structure
The position is structured as an independent contractor engagement. Compensation is success-based, paid on closed transactions, with participation in mandate fees on engagements originated by the contractor. Cebron Global manages diligence, structuring, and capital markets placement end-to-end.
The firm operates a selective mandate model and accepts engagements it believes it can close. Compensation terms are calibrated to reward partners delivering qualified opportunities.
Platform
Cebron Global provides direct distribution to US and global institutional capital — private credit funds, infrastructure funds, family offices, and credit-focused asset managers — with defined appetite for emerging-markets digital infrastructure and limited origination capacity in the relevant regions. The firm's execution team has placed transactions across the targeted asset classes and structures.
