Business Development Manager
Job summary
We are seeking a senior, commercially astute Business Development Executive to drive global partnerships, onboard market participants, and expand our platform footprint across Africa and international markets. This is a commission-only executive role designed for seasoned professionals who thrive in high-impact, high-upside environments.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies across metals, minerals, chemicals, and related products.
- Identify, engage, and onboard: African sellers and producers, sourcing agents and aggregators, Local and international buyers, and Strategic partners (logistics, financiers, processors, off-takers)
- Build and manage a strong regional and international partner pipeline.
- Lead market entry initiatives across assigned regional, state, federal, continental, or global territories.
- Support pre-revenue growth by structuring partnerships, MOUs, and commercial frameworks.
- Coordinate onboarding standards, partner compliance, and commercial alignment.
- Represent the company in high-level negotiations, trade discussions, and strategic forums.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to leadership to refine platform offerings.
Requirements:
- MBA or MSc (mandatory) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 10 years proven experience in business development, partnerships, trade, commodities, mining, chemicals, logistics, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of African and international trade ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to build and close high-value partnerships.
- Extensive professional network across Africa and/or global markets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in a commission-based, performance-led environment.
