Job summary

A Business Analyst serves as the bridge between business needs and technology solutions. The role focuses on analysing processes, identifying requirements, and recommending data-driven solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability within the company.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize business needs.
  • Evaluate existing workflows and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT teams and vendors.
  • Use data to support decision-making, identify trends, and measure performance.
  • Act as a liaison between business units, management, and technical teams to ensure alignment.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that solutions meet business requirements.
  • Recommend strategies for optimizing processes, systems, and customer experiences.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree/HND in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business analysis, project management, consulting, or related roles.
  • Background in data analysis, process improvement, or system implementation projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), Business process modelling tools, and Project management tools.
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies is an added advantage.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, ECBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications are added advantages.
