Business Analysis Tutor

Laytec is hiring experienced Business Analysts to train and mentor aspiring business analysts, helping them bridge business needs with practical technology solutions through hands-on learning.

This is a remote, contract-based role focused on delivering applied business analysis training to professionals transitioning into tech.

Role Overview

As a Business Analysis Tutor, you will design and deliver practical instruction covering analytical thinking, business processes, and requirements management. You’ll guide learners through real-world scenarios, assess progress, and provide targeted feedback to ensure strong learning outcomes aligned with current industry practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver practical training in business analysis concepts, including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and documentation
• Teach and demonstrate business process modelling and optimisation using industry frameworks (e.g. BPMN)
• Guide learners in the effective use of industry-standard tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Visio
• Design and facilitate case studies, simulations, and hands-on exercises aligned with real-world business scenarios
• Introduce and tutor learners on applied AI concepts relevant to business analysis, including:
• AI-assisted requirements elicitation and research
• Intelligent documentation and workflow automation
• Responsible and ethical use of AI tools in analysis work
• Support learners through capstone projects, CV reviews, and mock interviews
• Monitor learner progress and provide structured, actionable feedback
• Stay current with industry and AI trends to ensure training remains relevant and practical
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience in Business Analysis and Business Requirements Management
• Strong capability in business process mapping and optimisation
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with BA tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, and related platforms
• Working knowledge of AI concepts and AI-enabled tools as applied to business analysis (e.g. AI-assisted research, automation, decision support)
• Ability to explain and teach AI concepts clearly to professionals transitioning into tech
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Experience in tutoring, training, or curriculum delivery is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and deliver structured training in a remote environment
