Job Summary
The Branch Manager in a Microfinance Institution (MFI) is responsible for overseeing branch operations, supervising loan officers, ensuring achievement of targets in client registration, loan disbursement, and loan recovery, while maintaining compliance with the institution’s lending policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage loan officers and other branch staff.
- Ensure the branch meets its targets in registrations, loan disbursements, and collections.
- Review and recommend loan applications in line with the institution’s credit policy.
- Monitor loan portfolio quality and ensure timely loan repayment.
- Ensure proper client assessment and financial analysis before loan approval.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance monitoring for branch staff.
- Prepare and submit branch performance reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with MFI policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Build strong relationships with clients and promote the institution’s products.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND/B.Sc in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- At least 2–3 years experience in microfinance or banking operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to drive branch growth
