AutoCAD Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for construction and engineering projects.
• Develop detailed site layouts, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction drawings.
• Prepare and update civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and MEP drawings as required.
• Interpret engineering designs, specifications, sketches, and site measurements.
• Coordinate drawings with civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, specifications, and compliance with project requirements.
• Modify drawings based on site conditions, engineering changes, and project requirements.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on actual site execution.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with site engineers, surveyors, contractors, and consultants.
• Maintain proper revision control and drawing documentation.
• Support quantity estimation and material take-off from drawings where required.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable engineering standards, codes, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with project management and construction teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Maintain an organized database of drawings, revisions, and technical documents.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of professional experience in AutoCAD drafting/design.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AutoCAD.
• Experience with industrial, commercial, factory, warehouse, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, dimensions, and technical specifications.
• Experience coordinating with engineers, surveyors, contractors, and site teams.
• Good understanding of drawing standards, layers, blocks, dimensions, and revision management.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, SketchUp, or other engineering/design software will be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple drawings and project deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Candidates with experience in industrial construction, FMCG manufacturing facilities, factories, warehouses, or free-zone projects are preferred.
• Experience working on large-scale construction or industrial development projects will be an added advantage.
• Candidates who can join and work at the Ibadan project site are preferred.
