You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our client’s fleet maintenance operations. As the Assistant Workshop Manager, you will support the management and coordination of truck and trailer maintenance while helping the company reduce downtime, improve efficiency, and maintain operational excellence. Key Responsibilities (Growth-Oriented Duties)

In this role, you will:

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and supervising maintenance and repair activities for trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty equipment.
• Ensure all servicing, repairs, and overhauls meet company standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion of repairs to meet operational demands.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, service reports, and parts usage.
• Track parts usage and raise requisitions for replenishment where necessary.
• Assist in managing the maintenance budget and controlling operational costs.
• Support the Workshop Manager in analyzing maintenance trends and recommending improvement measures.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• B.Sc/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in fleet, haulage, or heavy-duty maintenance.
• At least one year experience in a supervisory or team-lead role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty equipment.
• Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Experience using maintenance management systems or fleet software.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₦150,000 monthly.
