Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead sales growth and strengthen our distributor and customer network within the lubricants market. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the lubricants industry, an established customer base, excellent relationship-management skills, and a proven ability to drive sales performance.

Job descriptions & requirements

 Responsibilities:

  • Drive the achievement of assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and volume objectives within the territory.
  • Identify, acquire, and onboard new distributors, key partners, and high-value customers.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing distributors and customers.
  • Develop and implement effective territory sales strategies to increase market penetration and sales volume.
  • Communicate and ensure effective implementation of the company's sales processes, policies, and initiatives.
  • Conduct regular market research to identify emerging opportunities, customer needs, market trends, and potential business leads.
  • Monitor competitors' activities, pricing, product offerings, and market strategies and provide actionable feedback to management.
  • Provide regular sales reports, market updates, customer insights, and territory performance reports.
  • Identify opportunities for business expansion and develop strategies to increase the company's market share.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by management.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Social Sciences, Sciences, Business-related disciplines, or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant sales experience in the lubricants industry.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the lubricants market and an established customer/distributor network.
  • Strong business development, negotiation, and customer relationship-management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to drive and possess a valid driver's licence.
