AI / Computer Vision Intern

Role Description

We are seeking a Volunteer AI / Computer Vision Intern to support the development of the Visual Verification Engine (VVE).

This role involves contributing to early-stage components of our fraud-detection pipeline, including identifying stock images, reused photos, and AI-generated content.

You will collaborate with our product and technical team to build systems that directly impact the Visibuy platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test algorithms for image authenticity and AI-generated image detection.
• Work with tools such as OpenCV, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and perceptual hashing techniques.
• Assist in creating a scoring engine that classifies images as original, reused, manipulated, or AI-generated.
• Collect and preprocess small datasets for model evaluation.
• Document experiments, approaches, and findings clearly.
• Collaborate with the team to refine models and improve accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python with a foundational understanding of machine learning.
• Experience with computer vision libraries (OpenCV, Pillow, scikit-image, etc.).
• Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or HuggingFace.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in AI-generated image detection, media forensics, or fraud prevention.
• Ability to work remotely and deliver assigned tasks on time.
