Role Description The Agribusiness Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Abeokuta, supporting clients and internal teams in delivering high-quality agricultural consultancy services. Daily responsibilities include assisting with farmland assessments, gathering and analyzing agricultural and market data, and supporting the development of farm setup and management plans. The role involves coordinating with farmers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, preparing reports and documentation, and contributing to the implementation of sustainable farming practices. The Agribusiness Associate will also help monitor farm performance, identify improvement opportunities, and provide operational support to ensure client projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and present agricultural and market data.
- Knowledge of agribusiness operations, farm management practices, and basic agricultural economics.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, farmers, and cross-functional teams.
- Organizational and project coordination abilities, including managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency with standard office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, presentation software).
- Ability to work on-site in rural and semi-urban farm locations and adapt to field conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Crop Production, Agricultural Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience or internship in agribusiness, farm advisory, or agricultural projects is an advantage.
