Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Financial Records: Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Client Invoicing: Prepare and distribute invoices to clients, monitor payment statuses, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Tax Payments: Track appropriate sales and apply tax payments on invoices as needed.
- Account Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of financial accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Bank Account Management: Track company bank accounts, deposits, and balances; report regularly to management.
- Month-End and Year-End Processes: Perform the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and assisting with financial statement analysis.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with other departments to gather and compile financial information required for budgeting and forecasting purposes, as well as commercial bids for the company’s services and projects.
- Tax Obligations: Monitor the company’s tax obligations (PAYE, WHT, VAT, CIT), follow up with relevant entities for action, and submit periodic status reports.
- Document Filing: Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents, ensuring documents are easily accessible for audits and reference purposes.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting regulations and advise Management to ensure the Company complies with local, state, and federal financial requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 3 years of proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Quick Books) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
