A reputable organization that has a filling station in Afikpo, Abakiliki in Ebonyi State, is seeking to employ a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts officer with a strong background in filling station operations to join its team.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily financial transactions related to filling station operations, including sales, expenses, and inventory.
- Reconcile daily fuel sales, pump readings, cash collections, POS transactions, and bank deposits.
- Monitor stock levels and conduct periodic reconciliation of fuel and lubricants.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage payroll processing and staff-related financial records where applicable.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies as required.
- Ensure effective internal controls to prevent losses and revenue leakages.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a BSC
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
