About the Role A mission-driven organisation working in education and community development is looking for a meticulous, well-organised Accounts Officer to join its finance function. You'll be the person keeping the numbers honest, tracking income and spend, keeping budgets on course, and making sure every naira is properly documented and accounted for.

What You'll Be Doing

• Keeping financial records current and accurate across all income and expenditure
• Processing vendor invoices, reimbursements, and payments per approved procedures
• Putting together monthly financial reports and cash flow summaries
• Reconciling bank statements, petty cash, and other accounts regularly
• Tracking organisational spend and supporting budget forecasting
• Organising financial documentation for audits and compliance checks
• Preparing financial reports for management and external stakeholders
• Handling statutory remittances (taxes and other regulatory filings)
• Coordinating with vendors, service providers, and banks on payment matters
• Supporting the annual audit by pulling together required documentation
• Upholding internal financial controls and accounting standards

What You Bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or an administrative-finance role
• Solid grasp of bookkeeping and core accounting principles
• Comfort with Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite
• Familiarity with accounting software is a plus
• ICAN, ACCA (or equivalent), whether completed or in progress, is an advantage
