Our client, an oil and gas company, is looking to hire a Chartered Accountant (CA) to their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's growth and profitability.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and manage budgets, perform financial forecasting, and analyze variances to provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing any findings promptly.
  • Monitor and manage operational costs, implementing measures to enhance cost efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for financial improvement.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.


Requirements:

  • A minimum academic qualification of HND Or BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant with membership in a recognized professional accounting body such as ICAN or ACCA.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of industry-specific financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing finance teams.
