Accountant

Sagad Farms is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial reporting and ensure accuracy and timeliness across weekly, quarterly, and annual accounts. This role is critical to maintaining financial visibility and supporting sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Weekly Accounts

• Prepare and reconcile weekly accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded
• Monitor cash flow and flag discrepancies promptly

Quarterly Financial Statements

• Prepare quarterly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement)
• Analyze quarterly performance and provide insights to management

Annual Accounts

• Prepare year-end financial statements in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed
• Ensure compliance with tax filing deadlines and regulations

Requirements & Core Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ACA) preferred
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in an accounting role, preferably industrial or agricultural
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.,Odoo, Zoho,Quickbooks,Excel)
• Solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple reporting cycles
• Strong communication skills for presenting financial data to non-finance stakeholders
• Integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information
• Must be based on-site at Sagad Farms
