Account Officer
Job summary
Our client, a manufacturing company located in Ado-Odo/Ota, Ogun State, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial operations, and ensuring effective management of accounts within the organization.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and record production-related costs, including raw materials, labour, and overhead expenses.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) by processing vendor invoices and payments.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including issuing invoices and following up on collections.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and general ledgers.
- Perform regular bank, credit card, and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Prepare financial reports and support internal and external audit processes.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding payments, billing issues, and account reconciliations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in accounting or administrative roles (manufacturing experience is an added advantage).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple financial records and tasks simultaneously.
