Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling meetings with potential and existing customers, such as doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Presenting company products to potential and existing customers, providing product benefits to close sales.
- Identifying customers' needs and recommending company products that best fulfill those needs.
- Maintain good working relationships with new and existing customers by providing excellent after-sales service.
- Arranging conferences and group events for medical and mental health professionals in collaboration with the team members
- Regularly attending industry events, training, company meetings, briefings, and educational workshops.
- Researching competitors’ products, pricing, and market success.
- Promptly submitting purchase orders to the relevant department.
- Preparing sales reports as well as territory analyses and submitting them to management.
- Obtain knowledge of external and internal environment to enable design and implementation of territory yearly plan to achieve business objectives:
- Continuous updating of the current medical and promotional knowledge of the products following the determined learning objectives via training, literature, and internal communications of the concerned products·
- Establish and develop professional relationships with customers
- Build a constructive and effective external network
- Close cooperation with the line manager to foster productive and progressive workflow
- Share information with other representatives to enhance market knowledge.
- Classify customers following different criteria and receive information to segment the territory into target groups and yearly adapt
- Fix specific objectives for the different segments and target groups and set priorities
- Understand, evaluate, and interpret results of promoted products within dedicated territory
- Evaluate all activities based on ROI
- Transmit visit reports daily to the line manager.
- Give complete and accurate feedback containing all significant events in the territory (customer's attitude, competition activities, etc.)
- Openly share information with the other representatives, other team members, and the line manager
- Active participation during the Cycle & Sales meetings and react timely and promptly to questions
Requirements:
- Degree in Pharmacy, Medical or Biological Sciences/Life Sciences. A master’s degree is an advantage
- 2-5 years Proven work experience as a Pharmaceutical Rep or in Medical Sales
- Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare industry practices, and legislation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn about new products and therapeutic areas.
- Familiarity with databases, statistics, product lines, and latest medical issues
- Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong passion and knack for fitness, performance enhancement, health, and wellness products and technologies is highly desirable
- Good network and relationships with corporate organizations, government organizations, cooperatives, faith-based organizations, and middle to upper-class families is an advantage.
- Well-developed sales skills and competencies
- Ability to make decisions and evaluations to determine the needs of the customers
- Ability to travel at least 75% of the time
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both technical and business terms
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- Treat all employees and customers with dignity, respect and courtesy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and prior use of a CRM tool to manage customer engagements and run sales reports is an advantage
