Utility Man

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain power generation systems, including generators and electrical distribution networks, to ensure uninterrupted supply for production activities.
• Ensure the efficient operation of water circulation systems throughout the factory, including pumps, pipes, and filtration systems.
• Manage lighting systems to provide adequate illumination for safe and efficient working conditions.
• Oversee steam generation from boilers, including monitoring pressure, temperature, and fuel consumption, to meet production demands.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of utility systems, identifying and addressing any issues or malfunctions promptly.
• Comply with safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Requirements:

• Educational Qualifications: Minimum of an HND/BSc in a related field.
  
• Industry Experience: Previous experience in the food industry is required, with specific experience in cocoa processing being preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a utility or maintenance role within the food industry.
• Skills: Strong technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair utility systems effectively.
• Knowledge: Understanding of utility systems, including water circulation, power generation, lighting, and boiler operations.
• Communication: Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
