Trade Intelligence

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic support for clients in market expansion, transforming data into actionable insights and integrated trade intelligence solutions.
• Develop and execute action plans based on recommendations, mentoring junior team members in the process.
• Lead consultancy engagements, from origination to execution, solving client problems and presenting compelling insights.
• Understand clients’ business challenges, products, and technologies, defining project scopes, milestones, and required resources.
• Prepare business proposals and presentations, identify issues, present findings, and ensure successful implementation of recommendations.
• Manage projects and programs, lead and mentor team members, and maintain client communication for informed decision-making.
• Support business development activities, identifying opportunities to build the Consultancy pipeline.
• Lead efforts to promote the Unit’s thought leadership through publications and represent the Unit in key forums and events.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Senior Management.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) in Business, Economics, or related fields.
• Minimum 8 years of proven experience in top-tier management consulting or economic research.
• Track record in winning consultancy assignments and guiding clients in business strategy.
• Proficiency in project management, financial modeling, and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical and innovative mindset.
• Advanced knowledge of business management best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Industry expertise in financial services, consumer products, international trade, or trade finance.
• Excellent communication skills in English plus French, Arabic or Portuguese fluency.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to the team.
• Able to relocate to Abijan, Abuja, Harare, Cairo, Yaounde, Kampala
