Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using advanced surveying instruments and equipment to provide accurate data for construction projects. This includes accurately measuring and mapping the terrain, property boundaries, and existing infrastructure.
- Utilize a wide range of surveying instruments and equipment, such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser levels, to collect precise measurements and data points, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of survey results.
- Prepare detailed survey reports, drawings, and documentation, documenting survey findings, measurements, and observations in a clear and organized manner. This includes creating maps, plans, and charts that communicate survey data effectively to project stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure surveying requirements are understood and integrated into project plans and designs. This involves coordinating survey activities and communicating survey results to support project decision-making and execution.
- Monitor site conditions regularly and provide updates on land changes, developments, and any survey-related issues or discrepancies that may arise during construction activities. This includes conducting field surveys and assessments to identify potential challenges or risks to project progress.
- Ensure compliance with surveying standards, regulations, and safety procedures, adhering to industry best practices and guidelines to maintain a safe and ethical working environment. This involves following established protocols for surveying activities and implementing safety measures to mitigate risks.
- Assist in resolving survey-related issues, discrepancies, and challenges that may arise during construction projects, offering technical expertise and practical solutions to address problems and ensure surveying activities proceed smoothly.
- Maintain surveying equipment in good working condition, performing regular inspections, calibrations, and maintenance checks to ensure accuracy and reliability. This includes cleaning, servicing, and repairing surveying instruments and tools as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying, preferably in construction projects.
- Proficiency in surveying instruments and software.
- Strong knowledge of surveying techniques and principles.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
