General Job Description:

Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.
- Define and implement QA best practices, processes, and standards across the team.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support career development for QA team members.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with the company’s objectives and product development goals.
- Oversee the creation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure thorough testing of all software products.
- Ensure that QA processes cover all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis to deployment.
- Coordinate and oversee various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, security, and usability testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Implement automated testing solutions where appropriate to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Communicate QA progress, issues, and risks to senior management and project stakeholders.
- Participate in project planning, ensuring QA activities are integrated into project schedules.
- Continuously monitor and improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance product quality and team productivity.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
- Analyze QA metrics and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of QA processes, test plans, and test results.
- Provide regular reports on QA activities, including testing progress, defect status, and overall product quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Knowledge of programming languages and software development practices.
- Experience in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Familiarity with performance and security testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is preferred.
- Certifications in QA or software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
