Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain factory mechanical plant and machinery to ensure efficient and reliable production processes.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities on equipment to identify and address any mechanical issues or potential breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance, implement process improvements, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and production data.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: Minimum of an HND/BSc in a Mechanical-related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Operative or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in the food industry is required, with specific experience in cocoa processing being preferred
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to operate, troubleshoot, and repair factory machinery and equipment effectively. Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are essential.
- Knowledge: Understanding of mechanical systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Communication: Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
