Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preserving the good condition and functionality of the store premises particularly the electrical and mechanical upkeep of the store. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for servicing and installing generator systems and related equipment within the store.
- Minimum Qualification: Degree
- Experience Level: Entry level

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Inspects the building, equipment and systems to identify issues
- Responsible for carrying out installations on small and large capacity generator sets and related equipment
- Develops and implements preventative maintenance procedures, emergency repairs, overhaul of generators, electrical repairs and expansions.
- Responsible for installing and maintaining generator sets and related equipment within the store.
- Responsible for applying electrical/engineering standards and practices in the installation and maintenance of generators
- Responsible for the safe and efficient use of tools and specialized equipment
- Diagnoses malfunctioning electrical/mechanical systems and components within the store
- Identifies potential safety hazards to avoid injuries, follows HACCP and health and safety regulations
- Keep records of the maintenance schedule of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Keep records of fuel supplies, usage, generator uptime and downtime
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of SSCE
- Previous experience in a similar role preferably in an industrial environment
- Able to carry out general maintenance processes and methods
- Able to competently use tools and specialized equipment
- Good attention to detailÂ
- Have a high maintenance standard
- Ability to work independently
