Procurement Officer

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with key Stretford Hill employees to determine their Construction and service need
• Monitor business trends and product availability to pay the best price for Stretford Hill’s required resources, services, and materials, without sacrificing quality or delivery times
• Nurture relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for Stretford Hill.
• Identify and research potential new suppliers.
• Research new products and services to meet Stretford Hill’s goals
• Assess total costs of company purchases
• Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels
• Oversee a team of pricing, procuring, and material sourcing officers.
• Liaise with managerial staff and all departments for the centralized procurement strategy of Stretford Hill.
• Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships on behalf of Stretford Hill.
• Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms for Stretford Hill.
• Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services, whether locally or internationally procured.
• Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries of Stretford Hill’s purchased products and/or services.
• Examine and test existing contracts between Stretford Hill and suppliers/vendors.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of Stretford Hill’s management.
• Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
• Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements

Requirements:

• 2 years of cognate experience in procurement
• Degree in a related field
