Impact Evaluation Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Impact Evaluation Consultant to support an upcoming evaluation assignment in the justice and human rights sector in Nigeria. This short-term consultancy will involve leading or contributing to an impact evaluation for a development cooperation initiative implemented by a consortium of international and national partners.

Key Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing an evaluation methodology, overseeing data collection and analysis, and contributing to high-quality analytical and reporting outputs in line with international evaluation standards.

Required Profile

We are looking for a professional who meets the following criteria:

• At least 7 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation and/or impact evaluation, preferably within the international development and cooperation sector.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in justice, human rights, rule of law, or civic space–related programs.
• Substantial experience conducting project evaluations in Nigeria, with strong contextual and institutional understanding.
• Proven experience in designing, administering, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative surveys, including interviews, focus groups, and structured questionnaires.
• Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality evaluation reports in English.
• Familiarity with internationally recognized evaluation standards (e.g. OECD DAC, UN norms) is an asset.

Location: Nigeria (with possible remote components)
