Job Description/Requirements

The Dangote Cement Transport is currently seeking a skilled and experienced General Mechanic to join our team. As a General Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing trucks used in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections of trucks to identify any issues or maintenance needs.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems and determine the best course of action for repair.

Repair or replace faulty components using hand and power tools.

Test repaired trucks to ensure proper functioning and performance.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.

Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.

Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mechanical technology.

Requirements

OND or Trade certification in mechanical engineering or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a general mechanic, preferably in a similar industry.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.

Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance.

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.

Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
