Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and challenges that can be addressed with data-driven solutions.
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and drive strategic decision-making.
- Develop predictive models and algorithms to forecast business outcomes and optimize processes.
- Design and implement experiments to test hypotheses and validate model performance.
- Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through data visualization, reports, and presentations.
- Deploy models in production environment.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate model performance, making improvements as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, preferably in a startup environment.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Proficiency in scikit-learn.
- Proficiency in data manipulation libraries such as pandas.
- Knowledge of machine learning model development in keras, tensorflow or pytorch.
- Proficiency in SQL
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and algorithms.
- Experience working with large datasets and databases.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, matplotlib or Power BI
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Age <= 25 years old.
- Completion of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
