Job Description/Requirements
- Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Design, specify, and oversee the installation of telecom equipment, including switches, routers, antennas, and other related hardware.
- Ensure that all telecom systems meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new installations.
- Create detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and Visio.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including blueprints, installation guides, and equipment manuals.
- Review and verify drawings for accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and telecom technicians to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
- Prepare and present project reports, updates, and documentation to the Project Manager.
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure that all work adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Address and resolve any issues related to equipment performance or installation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Provide training and support to team members and subcontractors on telecom equipment and installation procedures.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in telecom project management, construction, or a related field.
- Experience with telecom equipment installation and maintenance.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) for creating detailed drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in Visio for diagramming and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of telecom systems, including network infrastructure, signal processing, and equipment integration.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical issues.
- Ability to evaluate system performance and implement improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or similar.
- Certification in CAD or Visio applications.
