Chemistry Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover various topics in chemistry, including atomic structure, chemical reactions, and laboratory techniques.
• Utilize hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and multimedia resources to enhance student learning and comprehension.
• Foster inquiry-based learning and critical thinking skills through interactive classroom activities and discussions.
• Provide guidance and support to students in conducting laboratory experiments safely and effectively.
• Assess student understanding through quizzes, tests, and practical demonstrations, and provide timely feedback to support their learning.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported in their academic endeavors.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and instructional practices across grade levels and subject areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• State teaching certification or licensure in Chemistry or Science Education.
• Proven experience teaching chemistry or related subjects at the secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts, principles, and laboratory techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
