Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to ensure the efficient operation of all equipment and machinery.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
• Coordinate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance work without disrupting production schedules.
• Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the effective execution of maintenance tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify maintenance needs, defects, or potential issues.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance services, repairs, or equipment upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, equipment standards, and maintenance procedures
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Develop and implement training programs for maintenance staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and proficiency in maintenance practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. (Masters in related field – added advantage).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management roles, preferably in the food processing or manufacturing industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of maintenance practices, equipment diagnostics, and repair techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, equipment standards, and maintenance best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with maintenance management softwares, systems and Microsoft Office suite.
