Web Developer

Responsibilities:

• Develops the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the web-site.
• Write clean, well-designed, and efficient code using industry best practices and coding standards. 
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to add functionality and features to websites and web applications.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues, ensuring smooth functionality and optimal performance.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in web development, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and back-end developers, to ensure seamless integration and implementation of web projects. 
• Monitor website performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve speed and user experience.
• Maintain documentation of code, configurations, and processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years of experience in Web-based design/development.
• Experiencing implementing front-end designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while adhering to web accessibility and usability standards.
• A degree from an accredited College/University is a requirement. [Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is a preference].
• Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience as a web developer
• Proven experience with WordPress themes, plugins, Cpanel management and site performance optimization
• Experience with WooCommerce
• In-depth understanding of Google Analytics and other SEO services, online tracking tools, webmaster tools, back-end SEO, and metadata.
• Proficiency in SEO tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs or similar platforms.
• Experience with Google Search Console, Analytics, & My Business
• Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and a solid understanding of their principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with back-end development concepts and technologies (e.g., Node.js, PHP, Python) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.
• Experience working with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot technical issues. 

Remuneration: NGN 300,000 - 500,000 per month
