Transport Officer

Responsibilities:

• Drive the hearse or other funeral vehicles to transport the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home and to the burial site or crematory.
• Ensure that all vehicles are maintained, cleaned, and prepared for each service.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of services, including arranging the hearse for viewings and services.
• Collaborate with funeral directors and staff to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
• Provide support to grieving families, offering assistance as needed during transportation.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies regarding transportation and the handling of the deceased.
• Handle paperwork related to transportation, including permits or documentation, as required.

Requirements:

• 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Minimum of SSCE.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to drive large vehicles, with experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate demeanor.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to providing respectful service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, including caskets, and assist with other physical tasks related to the service.
• Comfortable working in different environments, including funeral homes and outdoor burial sites.

Remuneration: NGN 75,000 - 100,000 based on experience
