Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships
Represent the technological agenda in staff meetings and when making hiring decisions
Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs
Develop, track and control the development of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing and operations
Manage and optimize infrastructure assets to satisfy internal financial targets
Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence
Consolidate PGL technology platforms and create plans for each
Track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics
Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture
Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape
Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity
Work closely with other departments/subsidiaries and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements
Actively perform and own the following areas: IT Solutions Research & Development, Project Implementation and Support & Maintenance. Skills
GM IT Solutions & Infrastructure will be a tireless leader, creative thinker. He will be able to effortlessly switch between the role of a Manager and the role of an Engineer and a Researcher. H/She’ll rather work overtime than allow a detail to go overlooked.

Attention to Detail – Highly focused attention to detail.
Extensive Technical Knowledge – Needs to be intimately familiar with technologies such as Microsoft, Cisco and VMware. They will also need to have experience with storage area networks, WAN acceleration, virtualization, firewalls, routers and more, software Development.
Management Skills – Should have excellent people skills in order to effectively manage the company and Clients.
The successful candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business functions, exceptional budgeting and finance skills, and strong leadership
qualities. The noteworthy General Manager should account for all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, drive sales and improve revenue, maintain relationships with clients, enhance the organizations image, and meet overall growth objectives.
Certification – Should possess relevant certifications. E.g. Cisco Certified Inter-network Expert, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or have related certifications.
Communication Skills – Good communication skills are necessary.
Potential candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
The preferred candidate should possess a master’s degree in a technological field as well.
The preferred candidate to have at least 10 years of experience as an IT Engineer in addition to at least 5 years of management experience.
