Job Summary

This role answers inquiries and obtains information for the public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties. The role also oversees the overall management of the office environment and provides information regarding activities conducted at the establishment, department, offices, and by employees within the organization.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities: 

  • Collect, sort, distribute and prepare mail, messages, and deliveries to beneficiaries using postal mail, e-mail, or courier services
  • File and maintain electronic and paper records 
  • Greet persons entering the establishment, determine the nature and purpose of visits, and direct or escort them to specific destinations
  • Perform administrative support tasks such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, keeping income and expenditure  accounts and maintaining imp rest  
  • Able to work with pay records, invoices, balance sheets, and other documents 
  • Processes and prepares memos, correspondence, travel vouchers, or other documents 
  • Provide information about establishments such as the location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided.


Requirements:

  • Degree in humanities, social or management sciences 
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a related role 
  • Write and speak fluent English and  good at taking notes, drafting minutes, and archiving documents
  • Resident in Katsina or willing to  relocate (at own cost)
  • Computer literate and proficient  with Microsoft Apps (Word, Excel,  PowerPoint, Notes), video conference software (e.g, Teams, Zoom, Google Meet)  
  • Available for onboarding by mid-December (to be done onsite)
  • Available for the on-site project take-off in January 2023 after the contract has been signed.

Reports to: Project Director 

Working conditions 

  • Onsite 
  • Full-time, 8 am to 5 pm, Mondays to Fridays with extended hours, as may be determined by the Project Director
  • Renumeration includes group life insurance and basic individual health insurance 
  • 1-year contract
