Job Description

Responsibilities;

  • Set up the Store department from the scratch
  • Design and implement processes and procedures for the smooth operation of the Store
  • Maintains proper records using an excel sheet
  • Maintains receipts/issue with and inventory with minimum stock tracking
  • Prepares GRN, inspection reports of incoming materials
  • Prepares a monthly stock statement
  • Manages reconciliation of materials with respect to receipt/issuance
  • Manages stocktaking of materials in store properly and tagging for easy traceability
  • Checks inventory records for accuracy
  • Keeps records of items received or transferred to the site
  • Prepares quality reports of the materials
  • Find, sort or move goods required for any project
  • Compiles reports on various aspects of inventory of any project
  • Records the store materials receipts and consumption on a daily basis
  • Conducts general supervision on-site regarding material wastage and proper use of material
  • Follow up with material supplier with prior consent from COO
  • Exercise general control over all aspects of the store dept. (including site stores)
  • Ensure safekeeping both as to quality and quantity of materials
  • Initiate purchase requisition for the replacement of stock of all regular store items whenever the stock level of any of store approaches the minimum limit fixed
  • Issue materials only in required quantities for specific jobs after obtaining due authorization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in a Business field such as Accounting or any other related course and excellent storekeeping knowledge
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as a Store Supervisor, material management, storage, issue and accounting
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a MUST
  • Knowledge of various construction materials is an added advantage
  • Ability to work with Site Engineers to determine their requirements and needs
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
