Job Summary

Asabi A’ladire is a vibrant lifestyle company based in Ikeja, Lagos, offering a different cultural products and experience with the core being textile. The Store Attendant will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth store operations and providing excellent customer service.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers, provide assistance, and offer product recommendations to ensure a positive shopping experience. 
  • Sales Support: Assist customers with purchases, handle payments and card transactions, and process returns or exchanges when necessary. 
  • Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is clean, well-organized, and stocked with products at all times. Arrange displays and ensure merchandise is properly tagged. 
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks, receive deliveries, and restock shelves as needed. Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Store Manager. 
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up to date on the store’s merchandise, including new arrivals and promotions, to offer informed advice to customers. 
  • Security and Loss Prevention: Monitor customer behavior to prevent theft and ensure the safety of products and assets in the store. 
  • Reporting: Provide daily sales reports and feedback to the Store Manager, including customer preferences and product trends. 
  • Team Support: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and support management in achieving sales targets.  


Requirements:

  • Prior experience in retail, customer service, or a similar role is an advantage. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system. 
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and retail software. 
  • A keen eye for detail, especially in maintaining store displays and managing inventory. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. 
  • Professional demeanor, punctuality, and reliability.
