Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities: 
  • The Strategic Information Officer (Data Scientist) will provide senior-level information analysis, clinical research, and strategic insights support to the Team.
  • S/he will be primarily tasked with building strategic information systems and broadly developing processes for modeling, triangulating, and interpreting broad data sets.
  • Relying on company strategic goals and project objectives, the SIO will develop processes that will efficiently acquire, clean, process, integrate, store, analyze and model data.
  • Using advanced machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and statistical modeling approaches, s/he will accurately and intuitively organize, review, measure, program, and present information to internal and external stakeholders, proffering world-class and evidence-based solutions and/ or remedial actions.
  • S/he will also be involved in quality management/ continuous quality improvement processes and the development of tools, applications, and dashboards for stakeholders.


Requirements:

  • Must have soft skills including EQ, proven business acumen, comfortable around people, communication skills, professional presentation at all times, a great sense of humor, leadership, followership, and team player abilities and skills.
  • Some hard skills that will be tested include, but are not limited to, advanced data analysis skills,
  • The ability to write clean/ efficient/ maintainable code using the major programming and coding languages;
  • Front-end and back-end tech expertise; advanced maths, computer science, and statistics skills; ML and AI skills, Statistical Software skills, predictive modeling, and data mining skills and experience using major cloud-based servers, databases, platforms, and SaaS.

 

Information on our Selection Process

The final decision will be made based on experience, skills, qualifications, and demonstrated creativity and emotional intelligence. Our interview process, for this position, is in 3 phases: a 30-minute introductory call with shortlisted applicants, a rigorous one (1) hour pitch session (to the Review Panel), and a 30-minute meet and greet with Company Management if successful. All may be conducted virtually and/ or in person, based on company preferences.

 

Expected start date is February 01, 2023, but it could be earlier or a bit later.
