Job Description/Requirements
Hiring: Senior Accountant (Microfinance Bank)
Location: Lagos (Hybrid)
Salary: ₦1,000,000 - ₦1,500,000
monthly net
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing Microfinance Bank and strengthen our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (IFRS standard)
• Ensure accurate bank reconciliations and double-entry postings
• Handle CBN, NDIC, and FIRS returns promptly and accurately
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
• Supervise payroll, reconciliations, and statutory remittances (PAYE, VAT, WHT)
• Support internal and external audits
• Maintain sound internal controls and proper record keeping
• Monitor liquidity, treasury, and investment operations
Requirements:
• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• ACA/ACCA qualification (mandatory)
• 7–10 years’ experience in a Microfinance Bank or regulated financial institution
• Strong knowledge of CBN reporting, IFRS, and accounting principles
• Skilled in Excel and accounting software
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and leadership skills.
