School Bus Driver

Responsibilities:

• Safe Transportation: Safely transport students to and from school, following established routes and schedules.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in safe operating condition, reporting any issues to the maintenance department.
• Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all traffic laws, school policies, and safety regulations to ensure the safety of passengers.
• Student Safety: Monitor student behaviour on the bus, maintaining order and ensuring that all students follow safety protocols.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents, reporting any incidents or delays as necessary.
• Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared to respond to emergencies and follow appropriate procedures to ensure the safety of all passengers.
• Route Management: Maintain knowledge of assigned routes and ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of students.

Requirements:

• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a professional driver, preferably with experience driving buses or large vehicles.
• License: Valid driver’s license

Skills:

• Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
• Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Ability to maintain composure and ensure student safety in stressful situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Punctual and reliable.
