Sales/Rental Manager

Job Summary

A global trading and distribution company with a network of offices and subsidiaries spanning more than 39 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas is currently hiring for the position of Sales / Rental Manager. They have a network of showrooms and workshops across 12 countries and an assembly plant. They enhanced their distribution portfolio with farm machinery in addition to automobiles the company produces passenger cars, trucks, vans, coaches, buses, sports cars, construction equipment, and military vehicles.

Job Description/Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Grow the rental business and ensure FY ABT is achieved as per target
  • Prepare timely and quality reports for the functional reporting lines
  • Rental Business – Full facilitation, market activation, running campaigns and schemes, closing business, managing buybacks, and meeting monthly targets
  • Follow-up with Sales Team on lead generation, prospection, and timely delivery for rental business in consultation with Line Manager
  • Follow up with debtors on a regular basis to maximize payment collection for rented vehicles
  • Design, implement and control key operational procedures and processes related to the rental business
  • Design, implement and control the vehicle handover process to customers with proper documentation
  • Relevant knowledge and competencies to appreciate the technical difference of financial terms like leasing (operational/finance/dry/wet), rental services, hire purchase (lien/hypothecation).
  • Relevant experience in used cars/commercial vehicle markets to help inappropriate documentation and accounting treatment
  • To be able to differentiate between buyback, trade-in, etc. and the relevant paperwork
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001 compliance
  • Understanding customers’ business and recommended requirements.
  • Achieving assigned Sales Target (As per ABP)
  • Present monthly overall market summary and sales strategy to Business Head
  • Timely client communications and deliverables
  • Identifying & executing product promotion and branding activities across the country to increase awareness and reach.

Job Requirement:

  • A Degree or Post Graduate Qualification in Business field, Mechanical Engineering, Sales and Marketing, ICT literate, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • 5 to 8 years experience preferably from Auto industry Insurance or Banking industry
  • Solid experience in Financial Management, Key Account Management, and Financial Restructuring
  • Excellent experience in automobiles especially in the commercial rental vehicles segment
  • Extensive knowledge of a motor mechanic
  • Team player; result oriented with high integrity and professional
  • In-depth knowledge of Industry Vehicle Models
  • Strategic appreciation of the distribution business
  • Excellent communications, analytical organizational skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with good experience in deciding margins – discounts etc.
  • Excellent knowledge/understanding of Vertical and Dual Reporting
  • Mechanical auto technical skills
  • Strategic appreciation of the distribution business
  • Business Acumen and drive for results
  • Willing, creative, a Go-Getter, and innovative
  • Valid Driving Permit
